Introduced with the pinned Web sites feature in Internet Explorer 9 you can add your favorite websites on the taskbar or in the start menu. We have seen, in article IE9 you can pin Web site links to Windows 7 taskbar. The website noted shortcut opens the Web site by using Internet Explorer, regardless of which browser you have selected as default. In this post we provide a registry hack, you remembered site links in your default Web browser- 1can be opened.

Fixed site browser.zipdownload, unzip and run the attached .reg file.
Click on the pinned website shortcut on the taskbar. Now, the site should launch in your default browser.
The pinned shortcuts of the sites are although similar to normal Internet links (.)URL-Datei), also additional meta information such as the navigation button to the former color, window size, jump list tasks/categories etc.. This additional meta data are ignored and do not work when you use a third-party browser remembered-site links to the registry hack, which previously open mentioned employs.
